Hi did some checking and the pathfinder consensus is that as a supernatural ability LOH doesn't provoke as long as you don't move in a threatened square

Personally I concur, but there is room for doubt so the final decision must be the GMs.
The community consensus is not important, but the core rulebook is.
Page 61: Lay on Hands is listed as a supernatural ability – thus it should inherit all the properties of an such
Page 221: States that supernatural abilities generally do not provoke attacks of opportunity
It's that one little word that causes the confusion – basically they usually do not provoke, but may do under some circumstances
No other advice is given, so it is left up to the GM to decide – either as a standard rule or based on specific circumstances

Sounds right. What I wasn't sure of was whether lay on hands was spell like or supernatural. If it's a supernatural ability then it probably shouldn't provoke an attack of opportunity.
