I used to play in a few PMB and on-line versions of this, I even ran a play by eMail one myself for a couple of years in the early dial-up days of the old interweb (still have the site up). I was thinking about restarting it again within the club membership (don't need fancy web sites that way) if any one is interested. It ideally works best with 10 to 20 players. I've put up a link to help explain what the game is about and this as links to other sites, so you can have a read up. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/En_Garde!

Haven't played this in absolutely ages. I would very much enjoy playing this again. I used to play this via email for a while, didn't get very far with it as I recall.
It would probably work reasonably well played on the board here, at least the roleplay side of the game at any rate.

I may be wrong, but there WAS as Swedish RPG back in the 80's with the same name, don't know it that was made with license from the GDW one though. I might be interested in some swashbuckling but let's gauge interest first.

I'll bring my En-Garde books along tonight, so people can have a flick through them to see what it's all about and sort out a character (if you wish to join in the game) as it only takes a couple of minutes to do. I even have 2 or 3 extra copies that can be loaned out (and re-copied) for those that want to study it longer.
