I'm sure most club members know by now, that 'anything goes' in the Mad Corner! We've seen thrilling games with Teddybears of the Empire vs Dinosaurs, petrolfumed Car Wars with Matchbox vehicles, wild west shootouts, zombie survival and last Monday gladiatorial glorious GOREfest in the arena with four players, amongst others. Matt and I operate on two principals: 1. There are too few Mondays in a week. 2. A game should be FUN to play, life is too short to take it too seriously. Lately there's been a bit of a trend in our gaming with relatively inexpensive games containing cardstock printouts and small gaming surfaces (A4/ A3 sizeish). This Monday we are going to try out Outrider, which is a buy-and-print game (got it for a fiver, literally!). It's set in a post-apocalyptic future where you drive custom made battle cars and try to shoot each other up . Mechanics aren't totally dissimilar from Wings of War/ X-Wing (you line up a manoeuvre chain with cards). It can cater for 2-8 players and if you haven't got a game you are welcome to join in. The Swede.
