Had my first game of M&R today. V good - simple but effective rules. Not entirely sure how authentic they are. Makes me think of Warmaster if anything. Very enjoyable.

So who is doing what for WSS? Martyns gone Dutch, Terry is British, Grahams is Bavarian (I've always had my doubts - its the leather shorts you know) and Mark wiffs of Garlic oh and he's got some French.
Anybody else planning on joining in? I will be as soon as I decide who to play.
If more people are going to join in we could have some bigger battles and a nice campaign maybe as M&R is geared up very nicely towards campaign play.
(I'm thinking French or Spanish myself) Ole

Martyn: Terry and I have it covered. Although, if you feel inclined, bring along some of your Prussians, we'll be able to use them somewhere. It's always nicer using your own stuff - and my Frenchies are shockingly bad.

Mark; Do you have the board game that is mentioned for use in M&R for the grand campaign "Soldiers Kings"?

Mark; Do you have the board game that is mentioned for use in M&R for the grand campaign "Soldiers Kings"? Nope. I've heard some quite different views of it too. Apparently it doesn't work at all well with 4 players, as Britain can win the game by expanding into India, Africa and the Americas. Sounds realistic to me.

Right
Several of us have got the 6mm WSS lead. When are we gonna get it on the table ? Should I buy some more at Reading ? What about pencilling something in for January all-day Sunday ?

My book on bavarian's has arrved and they will be pretty little blue chaps. I shall not be buying any more as I have brought the figs to do them all! I do have spare dragoons and horse grenadiers if anyone has such exciting units in their armies.

I've just about finished my original army pack, plus a cavalry expansion pack. I've not based them yet, as I've two more infantry boosters to do and I'd like to base them all at the same time. They might be ready for January, but I'm not going to commit to anything just yet - sorry.
I was thinking about suggesting the January Sunday as a Flames of War comp special - we could all get a couple of games and get the comp moving along. I'm very conscious that I've been dragging me feet and there's going to be lots of games to play.
