Very organized and thorough, you must be good DM stock Sounds good - I'm pretty decided I'll be a Wizard, and I think being good will keep everything simpler. I'll get working on my character sheet when I've finished all the work that I suddenly have to do.

oh - forgot to say unless anyone vehemently objects, could we use the point buy system for stats?

oh - forgot to say unless anyone vehemently objects, could we use the point buy system for stats? If anything I prefer it seems our group is favoured by the dice god when it comes to stats.

I'm otherwise occupied on the Sunday, otherwise I'd be tempted to join in.
I can bring down my D&D miniatures and my combat grids if you want.

Well unless no one else picks a cleric or fighter I'm definitely going to be a Half Elf Fey Pact Warlock. Dunno what the hell to spend the money on, and to be honest the magic items are pretty bland

Buy lots and lots of candles. But I already spent 50gp buying an everburning torch...

Diana's currently thinking about a Dragonborn Paladin at the moment. Steve - I'm definitely ok for combat maps and dungeon tiles. Might need some miniatures - I'll get back to you when I've had a bit of a stocktake - much appreciated John - sorry yes on looking they are a bit bland. Still the extra plus 1 on things will really help and you can come up with your own description for a plus 1 weapon or armor or a history for it if you like? In terms of spending gold, you can buy a healing potion for 50gp at a local shop too (for this adventure). or you could buy some posh clothes at 30gp - could include an embroidered tabard with personal heraldry which fits over armor.... 75gp gets you a horse - though there may be limited use in this adventure and as a little improvisation 20gp gets you a pet of the small cute, non combat, variety who will follow you about and hopefully survive

Hi All This is the current situation: Who: Joe - wizard (unknown race) John - half elf warlock Diana - dragonborn paladin Mike - (unknown) Maurice (possibly warlord) When: Dec 14th - as close to five as possible. Its quite likely we may need another session to finish but we can talk about that on sunday. What? Characters can be anything from the core players handbook. Balance would be good for this adventure but whatever is the most fun for people is (as always) best. That said if either Mike or Maurice want to be a leader (cleric or warlord) then that would probably be beneficial. As I've mentioned previously you'd need to be level 2 (just make a level one using the point buy stat system and follow the handy instuctions for levelling up once in the players handbook) and you can pick up to 150gp in equipment and in addition one level 2 magic item and one level 1 magic item each of your choice. Can you let me know by Saturday night what you plan to play and ideally what weapons / implements you plan to use (so I can make treasure more fun for you all). You'll ideally need to be all statted and ready to play by Sunday so we can get going quickly. Looking forward to a fun game Feel free to put replies on the forum thread as it's better for conversation but if you want to ask me anything then do contact by email if you prefer. If you'd like you could also post a character description on the forum too so that the others know what you look like. In terms of background its very much up to you but for ease you'll need to be willing to work together for a local lord to recover a certain artifact. I plan to start in the dungeon straight away but after that it's all up to you. I'll send more details of plot soon.... Hope that's all ok with everyone. All the best, Chris

Hi Chris
Just for the fun of it, how about a dwarf cleric -- with a REALLY BIG axe ;D I've even got a miniature that would look right
I do have WHF battle in teh afternoon, but it's only 2000pts so I should be finished in plenty of time
Mike

A cleric with an Axe surely that is Fantasy - very large Hammer would be "Historical"
