After much nagging, especially from Martyn I have finally checked the lists. There are two problems: Barry's Grenadier Kompanie has a major problem caused by his missing a requirement to upgrade a piece of equipment, which puts his points completely off. I'll speak to him tonight about this and get him to fix it. Martyn's Grenadier Kompanie also has a minor problem. He's miscalculated the cost of a unit and is therefore 5 pts over. I'll also speak to him tonight to see how he wants to fix it. Assuming I can get both sorted this evening I will do the draw for scenarios, and people can kick off the following week.

Sorry, won't be there tonight. What's amiss ? It's not me Luftwaffe-crewed 88, is it ? If so, I refer you to the conversation we had in the Wellington prior to the summer curry. Platoon is 5 pts cheaper than in Meatgrinder 'cos the gun doesn't get a tow - I think.

Sorry, Martyn - I'm sat here with the Cobra and Monty's Meat books in my hand and in both the Luftwaffe 88's are 130, +10 pts per gun for the extra crew. That's 150, not 145 as per you list.
Why did you think it was 5 pts cheaper.

Hmm . . . looks like it is 5 pts cheaper in the pdf, compared to Cobra and Montys, but doesn't have any tows at all. Are you sure you want this? In any scenario where it starts off table it won't be able to get on!!!

I know. That had occurred to me, but my intention is always to deploy it on table - could rebound on me, I appreciate, but yes that's what I'd like, please. There aren't any scenarios where none of your platoons start on table, are there ?
P.s. all allied players - please forget you read this.

As I am well under the points can I give Martyn 5 of mine?

I think you are OK with the Scenarios. You'll just have to accept it might be a problem sometimes and you will have to pick that platoon as one of your starting ones each time.

Well, everyone knows I've got it now, so I won't hold it back for its surprise value ! Seriously, though, I did go through the list quite carefully and to find 5 points would mnean having to change the balance of the list disproportionately.... unless the new Fortress Europe book frees you from the constraints of having to have so many core platoons per support platoon ?

It may do just that. We're not using it for the tournament though, so it's a moot point. All lists will be open, so don't worry about giving the game away.

From my initial reading of a copy in Wargames Workshop I believe it does. It appears they've changed it so that you can take one choice from each area of divisional support, regardless of how many core platoons you have.
That will mean you can more easily construct a higher points list without having to look at fielding a second company structure.
I've got a copy of the book on order, so I'm looking forward to getting it as it'll be nice to have some additional options as Russians.
