Terry, I've just sat down to type up the list of troops for Sunday, and I've realised it's going to take me far too long. I think it might be a better idea if I just list the totals here, so we can make sure we have enough stuff coming. You and I can then produce the labels for all the forces before the battle and we can stick our own stuff before the battle and the rest of the stuff on the day. Dave can still don Ewell's corp if he likes.
Does that sound OK?

Hi Mark I thought that it would be; it would help us if Dave and Graham could confirm that they can label up their corps and let us know if they are short of anything. I will do the labels for Longstreet (and Stuart) and see if I can produce the corps I may be short a few stands of infantry, guns and cavalry. At least then you may not need to dig out too many Rebs nor worry about labels
For the Union Steve took some labels so again if he could confirm which corps he will do the labels for and how far he can go with troops. I am happy to do the labels for Hanncock and I think I can do the figures as well. We can then split the remaining union labels between us. I would imagine that between you; me and Steve we have enough stands but if not we can let Graham and Dave know what we may need from their collections.
I think that we will need all the corps and division stands that everybody has.
Also if we all could bring any suitable terrain items it would be most welcome. We would like to be able to define the boundary's of woods and built up areas. Roads and fields would also be useful.

OK - I have the players split as follows Player | Corp | Troops by? | Steve W | Pleasonton (Cav) | Terry&Mark | Derek | II Hancock | Terry | Stephen M | I Reynolds XI Howard | ? | Richard S | III Sickles XII Slocum | ? | Barry W | V Sykes VI Sedgwick | ? | N/A | Reserve Artillery | ? |
And the Rebs . . . Player | Corp | Troops by? | Martyn | Longstreet | Terry | Dave | Ewell Stuart (Cav) | Dave Terry&Mark cav | Graham | A.P. Hill | Graham ?? |
The units sizes are those from the Gettysburg scenario in the book. Brigades, Divisions and Corp which fought on more than one day should use the first value found (i.e. day1 if they first fought on day 1). The total amount of troops should be as follows Side | Corp | Divisions | Brigades | Stands | Arty | Union | 7 1(c) | 19 1(c) | 51 3(c) | 352 24(c) | 41 1(c) | Confederate | 3 | 9 1(c) | 37 3(c) | 288 21(c) | 30 2(c) |
Graham - If you can't find your rulebook then please let me know and I will provide the troops for A.P. Hills corp.

The forces are as per the main Fire and Fury rule book; and they can be used at full strenght; for example Reynolds 1st corps as day 1. Mark and I have agreed the cavalry numbers and should have enough stands; but not a problem if you would like to use some of your own. Terry

Mark, I can't find where Stewarts Cav is listed, maybe the edition I have doesn't have it? also I can only muster 7 foot guns and 1 horse gun. Infantry corps should be easy, however and I have already prepared the labels. J.E.B. Stewart will have to be depicted on a Div size base, as I only have 1 corps comd stand for CSA, and one for USA.I will bring my entire collection (with my markers) for people to use. Dave

Dave: Don't worry about the Cavalry - Terry and I will be doing them, the labels at least. Although I'm sure we have enough between the two of us.
How many guns are you short of? If you could do the labels, I can probably muster some extra guns and limbers.

Hi Mark; just gone through my figures; I have done all the labels for Longstreets Corps; I can field it all except for Picketts (I have a stand for Pickett) Division. I have done the labels for Stuart; but can only field Hamptons brigade both mounted and dismounted but no horse guns. For the Union I have done the labels for Hanncock; I can field it except 1 div stand for Hay. I hope I catch you in time as I have done the labels for Reynolds; I can field the the first two div's and the artillery but I am short the 3rd div and all the corps and div command stands. I have done the cavalry labels; I can field Farnsworth's div mounted and dismounted but have no guns or corps and div command stands. Terry

Terry - perhaps we need another way to do this. Would it be easier if you did the labels for the troops I'm bringing. I've not got enough labels to do them all anyway, and I'd rather not do the same corp as you again Here's what I've got: Union: 20 command stands +116 Infantry 2 mounted command + 15 Cavalry, 19 dismounted, 4 holders 12 Artillery Batteries and limbers, +6 without limbers Confederate: 32 command stands + 123 Infantry 2 mounted command +11 Cav, 2 dismounted cav command, 18 dismounted, 4 holders 8 Artillery Batteries and limbers 2 Horse Artillery Batteries and limbers I've still one box to find, the one with the div/corpcommanders and perhaps some more Union troops - I'm not so sure. Edit: Found now Union: 10 Division commanders. 5 Could pass as corp command Confederate: 1 Corp, 11 Division, 5 could pass as corp, and the corp could pass as division . . .

Thats OK with me; I will check with Steve just to see what he wants to do.
I was also wondering whether we should dispense with the markers; disordered low on ammo etc and opt to use plastic coloured markers? We have more and and with this many units hopefully they will stand out.

I have found my rules armys and stickers etc so will all be set for being A P Hill although I would much rather be Stewart (at least it will give me something to moan about all day)
Graham’s confederates 2 corps command stands 6 divisional commanders 15 inf brigade command stands 106 inf stands with no flag 39 Cav stands + dismounts 14 guns (all different calibres as rebs should be) + some limbers wagons etc
This is enough for me to field AP Hill day 1 I will sort out the stickers so they arrive ready
I have a similar quantity of union fellows but have not counted them also found an even bigger amount of still unpainted chaps the shame of it.
see you Sunday
