Well I was discussing this with Mr Brawn and I'm thinking the sizes given in the rule book would be better suited than the Polemos bases.
Have you based all yours up yet?

I've not based any of mine yet, so I'd be interested. It would be a good idea if we all went for the same size though.
What's the size for M&R? Polemos is 60mm x 30mm. I have some of their bases, but I don't like them as they are too thick.

I have started basing mine on 60mm x 30mm bases. I think we should stick with this.
My rules set of preference is Might & Reason, but Sam M. is very laid back about base sizes. Remember, the unit of measurement is the base width (BW). He offers the suggestion of 50mm x 25mm for <18mm figs., BUT, have a look on page 8 of the rule book where he shows 6mm figs based on 60 x 30s and says that's perfectly acceptable.
If we stick with 60 x 30 this gives us some flexibility as to rules to use. It also means that 24 6mm infantry figs fit very nicely in two ranks. I am basing my infantry as 48 figs in 2 ranks on two 60 x 30 bases, artillery as 2 models on a 60 x 60 base and cav (I think) 24 figs in 1 rank on two 60 x 30 bases.
I agree with Mark that we should all base the same - and would commend the 60 x 30 base as the way to go.

Martyn - have you been using the Baccus ones or getting them made by your plasticard chap?
Plasticard chap? Makes him sound rather odd, doesn't it ;D

So far I've been using the Baccus MDF bases, and will probably carry on. I don't mind the thickness of them and I'd like to retain some consistency across the army.

I have a large selection of the 50mm by 25mm bases and you can get two ranks of two baccus strips per base.
Looks good. I'll concede it doesn't look quite as good as the two ranks of 3 strips BUT it means your mini's go a lot further !

Well I have gone for the following :
Art 60mm x 30mm Cav 60mm x 30mm 9 figs inf 60mm x 30mm 24 figs or less with dismounted chaps Generals 30mm x 30mm
I played about with others but this is the best fit. I have placed an order with Martyn's plasticard chap and will bring down what I get..But its time the Bavarians make their combat debut.
