Dave Am posting here 'cos we don't have an ECW category. I assume you'll be bringing all the paraphenalia and bits and bobs we need; i.e. figures and rules ? Martyn P.S. Bagsy I be the king !

Good point ! The EU hasn't yet directed that 1644 is no longer in the 17th century !
I missed this in my brief scan down the available categories.

I missed this in my brief scan down the available categories. It's the first one! That aside - good to see another new period at the club. Even if it is an old one. Could be tempted by a Montrose army myself, although I see that's the one that Warlord aren't doing in plastic.

Actually Warlords will be releasing a plastic scots ECW box at some point in the future. Was talking to them about it at Kelmarsh a week or so ago.
Apparently it will use most of the same standard bodies as in the other two sets, but with some different heads, hats and weapon options.

Interesting. Montrose's army was mostly Irish though, so normal Scots won't do at all, especialy if they have full Pike as there's a huge doubt if they every used them, with most people assuming they did not. Although I see the Warhammer book assumes they did.
Hmm . . .
What rules are people using?

Warlords were running their own rule set at Kelmarsh, which they're working on getting right before releasing it. It looked pretty good, although I was busy enough that I didn't actually get a chance to try it.

Yes, it was good to be playing again, and I am enthused to purchase more plastic ECW now, as they make my old minifigs chaps look very crap! Perhapse 3 regiments of each to start with, and maybe those nice firelocks! Dave
