Ahoy there!
I have now returned from my 6 weeks enforced absence due to new baby. Apologies for not checking in sooner.
I'll send out a couple of PMs and hopefully see you down the club.
Daiv, How are you set for next Monday (18th Jan) ?

OK, well I'll bring them down anyway. Either catch a game or spectate with a beer.
See you on Monday.

Ben, we need to schedule our tournie match too... daiv, what.. have I scared you off, and I haven't even purchased the mawloc yet! Yes play the Tournie match, I am in London Monday, so prompt return may be dubious, I may jump in with Mikes FT game... Dave

Nah, I'm not scared, although reading the codex maybe I should be.
Thought it may be better to get League games done first though

Yeah, OK -- guess I asked for that one I was really just looking for confirmation
Anyway, looks like there'll be six of us (you, me, Steve, Peter, Rob and the Paul) so we'll each need to build three squadrons.
Do you have any views on fleet sizes?

Sounds like a pretty sizeable fleet.
I know you've got lots of ships Mike, but I can't remember if I've seen Dave's fleet or not.
Anyway, if you think you might be short a few cruisers, I can always bring my NAC stuff down for someone to borrow.

Thanks for the offer Steve, but largely unnecessary -- Dave's got loads as well
The query was really about how big a game Dave feels like playing

We seem to have hijacked this thread! Anyhoo, be aware that, as I said ti Daiv, I may well be late, or even a no show due to London work. However a good idea may be to have a convoy protection scenario. I have some freighters we can use. the freighters can be limited to say moving 8" per turn. we can say they are old engines and take alot of energy to slow down or maneuvre (like a supertanker, today). These can be escorted by a few light ships and maybe one cruiser ( you wouldn't have your main capitol ships on such a menial task!) however, one player could have an allied task force of heavier ships that could be brought on the table if (or should that be, when) the convoy is attacked and come to it's rescue! Locking this thread as it is way off topic. Full thrusters need to start their own thread.
