New beginner, need to buy space marines!

Hello every, I'm Leigh. I'm new to gaming and am just starting a 40k army. If anyone has any space marines that they are looking to sell I would be very interested.

you're probably already doing so, but try ebay - I picked up a bargain last year of £140 worth of undercoated space marines for £40. That's the core of a decent 1,500 point army.

or try a bring and buy at one of the shows...Colours is coming up, and the club is puting on a pretty massive Napoleonic demo game this year. ( 11th 12th Sept)

Is colours for all war-games or just napoleonic?

Hi Leigh, Colours covers all periods and aspects of the hobby. On the plus sides it is staged in one of the better venues being in the main stand at the Newbury race course. If you are new to the hobby a show like this can be a bit of an eye opener and a real temptation, so be warned hang onto your wallet and credit card.

The W crew ( Wilkin Wightman Warden and Wilson! ) have booked in at the Chequers hotel for the Fri and Sat nights, so we are bright and bushy tailed for the start of the show!

Are you interested in a specific chapter?

I am going through my younger brothers unwanted miniatures at the moment.

He has a number of Space Wolf figures that I am going to be looking to sell/swap as a job lot. They mostly have poor quality paint jobs, but nothing that a long soak in Dettol will not trip away:

Long Fangs (heavy weapons)
Wolf Priest (psyker)
old style terminators
captain
others



In a similar vein, he also has a lot of chaos space marines that, after a dettol bath, would be worth a look.
