hi, do you have to be a Gladiator to join in this, or are guests allowed? Also, is it a one off tournie or a league?

Carl, this is an in house league/tournie that Mark is running. We couldn't decide weather to run a Warhammer or a Flames tournie this year.....so we are having both. Yes being a Gladiator means having your cake ,eating it, then looking for seconds!!

Carl - the tournament will feature two leagues, one for the Axis players and one for the Allied. Each Axis player will play each Allied player twice, once as the attacker and once as the defender. This allows us to cope with an odd number of players.
The top player in each league will then play off in a grand final.
As Dave has said, you do need to be a member to join in.
<shameless plug> However, joining really does make sense. Membership is only £6 per year, and you'll save that in club night fees before you've played half of your tournament matches. </shameless plug>

Come one Carl, you know you want to join in.
Given the current number of sign ups, you'd be looking at about 10 games needing to be played, spread over the course of about 8 months, so not a massive commitment.

oh yes, i do want to join, BUT and it's the usual big but (no not J-LO's) and that is convincing the other half that playing with little tanks and knights twice a week really isn't asking too much. the thought of being threatened with being turned into a eunuch really isn't appealing, but i will seriously consider it. when do you think the league will start?

Not aiming to start until June. One or two players have armies that need finishing off

Noted, thanks Martyn.
Mildly curious as to what's happened to all your Brits. You've not sold them have you?

Ah !, but the sale has allowed me to diversify and re-invest a portion of the takings in some 28mm Republican Romans and 28mm SYW Prussians, whilst retaining a FOW capability, albeit reduced... plus some cash for boring and mundane domestic necessities.
