Without looking at the rules really I've picked out my posse based on nothing else besides coming prepared, 5 Hardcases named Hex's Harrowers, armed to the teeth, and a horse. Now to the questions:
1) If a characters gun becomes jammed, can he still use an alternate gun in his next shooting action, or does he have to take an action to switch weapon?
2) What if you're mounted, can you trample enemies in your way or how does that work?

I'm pretty sure the answers are:
1) You don't have to take a turn to switch weapon, however before you use the jammed weapon again you must take a turn to un-jam it. So for example if you sixgun got jammed but you also had a shotgun you could just use your shotgun from then on and never have to take a turn to fix the jam (unless you wanted to use the sixgun again). The same thing goes for reloading
2) You can't trample your enemies, I don't think the horse provides are close combat bonuses although I'll double check that later.
