WW2 - Monday 13 January

Enough of this pixies and Gnomes. We are here to game with real games, yes games of WW2!!!!!!!!!

Monday - the war is going very badly for the 3rd Reich. Bombers overhead night and day over Berlin, the Western Allies push into Germany. On the Eastern Front the Red Steamroller continues on. It is here that we join the action!

It's January 1945, Poland is the battleground! Can the German forces stop the red tide? We shall see on Monday!

Those not absorbed with fairies and Gnomes and elfs and goblins are welcome to command a tank or two!

If you are a Gnome and fancy a change from attacking other Gnomes, then join us and command a tank!

A typical Soviet response from David - but yor comment relates to Game of Thrones, not the glorious revolution and the fight against the Fascist beast in its lair!

Anyway, back to WW2!

A typically strong defence by Richard as German commander saw a the Germans score an emphatic victory. Poor Steven lost veitually all his beloved Soviet infantry as the unit was subjected to two powerful 120mm mortar stonksthat saw over 35 infantry killed and the remains of the platoon routed!

Peter advanced further on the left but his T34 company was shot to peices by the 100mm AT gun and the Jagd Tigers.

The Germans didnt have it all their way as Steven managed, using his IS2 unit to kill one of the two JagdTigers - something his was most pleased about! Peter managed early in the game to destroy the PantherTurm as well. However, the cloud of Panzerfaust bombs that reined down on the Soviets was too much. Two of the 4 IS2 tanks were destroyed by these deadly weapons!

Marshall Stalin was not happy!

Next week we are back on the Russsian front, except this time its 1941 and its the invasion of Russia!
