The small town of Vaga has become significant for the German 9th Army in late 1944.
Foprced into a "strategic withdrawal" - in more common terms a Rout, the army has fallen back in disarray under the Soviet hammer blows.
A small detachment of 19th Panzer division has been ordered to hold the town for the next 2 days, buying time for the retreat to be stabilised by the High Command.
We shall see what happens on Monday!

3rd Guards Armoured Division is one of the top Soviet formations of the war. Tank heavy, its been ploghing through the Fascist's defences, and re-inforced with the latest Soviet tanks, this operation should be a walk over!

Apologies, I don't expect to make it, my mother will be coming home from hospital Monday afternoon (we'd hoped it would be sooner, but no home carer available until after the weekend) so I'll be over at her place.

Ah-ha most amusing! But it did survive - it flew on, dropped some bombs and buzzed off again!
However my force was crushed by the Soviet steamroller! Boo!
