Thanks for a fun game Maurice. I'm glad we escaped the bugs without major conflict and they took the bait from the good old radio transmitter decoy ploy (a la Firefly) We now get to give the Icarus a well deserved overhaul. A nice sleek paint job wouldn't go amiss either

A nice sleek paint job wouldn't go amiss either As you have book two you might want to think about what armament you want to fit you have two hard points chin and dorsal - a ventral turret would block the drop tanks attachment points each turret has space for fc and 1 ton for magazine reallocated.

If we're going to discuss this inbetween sessions to save game time then a list of possible options might be nice.
Incidentally what kind of weapon ranges are we talking about for ship to ship combat? I presume that we'd be looking at hundreds of km's or thousands of km's as a minimum, but are we talking really massive ranges of 100,000km and upwards or what?

Book 2 has Type cost (Cr) " Hardpoint 100.000 Single Turret 200,000 Double Turret 500,000 Triple Turret 1,000,000 Pulse Laser 500,000 Beam Laser 1,000,000 Missile Rack 750.000 Sandcaster 250,000 Ship already has two hardpoints and 1 ton assigned for magazines. I think space combat is quite close ranged and handled using Newtonian mechanics There are some newer tech options in high guard Plasma Fusion and Particle Accelerators and you can build your own custom missiles Sand is ablative material dumped in space to degrade beam weapons
