Evening members – just to keep you all in the loop, there have been a couple of minor changes to this forum
Firstly, you will no doubt have noticed that you no longer need to be logged in to view the active threads – Marks doing not mine, so thank you Mark.
This means that anybody who chances upon this forum can see that it, and therefore the club it represents, is active and vibrant. It also makes the whole thing look a lot more inviting – essentially, we are now saying to the world "come along and join in".
As a side, it also means that if you want to showcase what we do on other sites/forums, you need only include a link to the thread (something I know Steven was asking about).
Secondly, and not so obvious, I now have administrator access to the sight – again courtesy of Mark
Having spent the last hour or so looking around the admin interface and familiarising myself with the system, I have made a couple of minor changes
1. I have updated the news feed so that the next all day Sunday now displays the correct date
2. As a bit of an experiment I have converted Chris' Pathfinder Fest (here) thread to a calender event for Sunday. It is still a normal thread and operates in exactly the same way as any other thread except that it now appears as a link in the calendar, making it easier to find. It has also added a calendar little icon to the thread itself. I'll be interested to see if it does anything else, although I suspect it won't.
Thirdly, I recall that at the AGM we did set the date for this year's Christmas curry but I do not recall the date – tardy of me I know, so apologies for that
I vaguely recall this being 12th Dec, but I cannot be certain of that – if one of you clever people would kindly confirm this, I shall add a calendar event for it
Finally, if anybody has any suggestions regarding this board (new categories or topics for example) please post them here. If it seems like a good idea, or even if nobody else has any major objections, I try and accommodate them.
Well, that's about it for now
Happy gaming
Mike
