Steven asked me to put together a list of games we role players play to help with the descriptive text for the club for Meet up and other things.
I thought it might also be worthwhile to widen that list here on the forum so that visitors can see a list of all the games we currently play.
Here's what I'm aware of or have noticed recently. Do add to the list or correct it:
Role playing games: Pathfinder (current long running campaign fortnightly plus ad hoc pathfinder society games) Other RPGs we have played at the club: Classic traveller, Star Wars Edge of Empire, Hollow Earth Expedition, Runequest, World of Darkness, Dungeons & Dragons (1st, 3.5, 4th and 5th editions). Also discussing starting a Savage Worlds game
Wargames: WW2 Peter guilder, Saga, Black Powder, Bolt Action, Fields of Glory, Ove's Wild West skirmish game (what's the ruleset?), Command and Colours Ancient (often with miniatures), Deadzone, (plus the overarching "watch the miniature making its combat debut blow up in first five minutes" game)
Other current favourite Games (some of which probably count as wargames too: X wing, Car wars, Teddy Bears v Dinosaurs, wings of war/glory, ogre, Marvel Dice Masters, Doomtown Reloaded
that list looks to sum up recent trends. the board game fromt could include Quatermaster General, one of Derek's games. he has brought it along a few times now. Other wargames seeing an outing recently could include Hail Cesar. and I think the lads are making a foray into Crescent and Cross, the Saga rules updated to include the crusades.
We do Japanese v Imperial Russian fleets - 1904, WW2 with the Graf Spee being hunted down and we will do coastal forces and also large WW1 fleet engagements. Howveer, the later one might be a bit difficult as i cant see the ships now boo!
Oi! My terrain - treat it correctly!
Where is my JJ?
If you are caught, you will be hanged together, slowly!
