Right here goes again! Once again i have gone to a box of MY terrain - Snow Russian Front buildings. The box has been poorly packed with buildings in it that shouldnt be there and even some oil tanks that arent "snowed". This snow terrain hasnt been used by me for some weeks - in fact i KNOW that it has been used recently because i have sen it being used. Several bits - mostly chimneys have been knocked off the buildings. How many times must i insist that you all take care with my terrain and pack it away properly? ?? Ive had enough. I do not want my terrain pieces used now by anyone in the club unless i am playing in the game myself.Yep I know thats not nice and its not in the spirit of our club. Im tired of this happening - it must have happened at least a dozen times in the last 5 years and ive now had enough. Dont agree? Speak to me about it. Dont bust the stuff, shoving it back in the box, hoping i wont spot it!!!!!! Anyway, its too late now, you have all had a collective chance to treat my gear with respect, so now you are NOT allowed to use it. Tough i know but ive got to the end of my tether with this. Steven

Would it not make sense then to remove it from the club (restoring some much needed space) and just bring in what you require on the night - as other members already do?
It'll save some heartache & confusion - I, for one, have no idea what is yours and what is the clubs. Anything stored in the club should be for the use of the club....

Damon
If i remove the terrain that belongs to me that will certainly free up A LOT OF SPACE!
I dont have the space for the stuff thats in that store room BUT thats not the point.
The point is that once again terrain has been damaged, regardless of who owns the stuff.
If people spent more care putting it away having used it then there would not be a problem, again regardless of who owns it.
The stuff that i store there is for the use of the members of the club but i repeat, this has happened time and time again and i am ********* sick of it!

Damon
I appreciate your comments - at least you give a d**n because, lets face it people at the club just ignore me when i complain about this.
I spend a lot of time and money on this stuff. I look after my stuff and anyones stuff thats stored there because thats what i do.
Evidently others dont because terrain has been broken at least 10 times in the last few years. People also dont tell me when it gets bust. I appreciate that things get knocked - they do - i bust something the other day BUT people dont say anything. We are adults and i would expect that adults would respect my property and other peoples and the clubs and mention the breakage.
Is that too much to ask???
I have always said people are free to use my stuff and thats been the case for many years. Everyone has enjoyed it and i like creating new stuff. Doesnt seem too much to ask that people respect the terrain that is stored there!

Just spotted this thread as this is the first time I logged into the forum today, although I have been expecting something like this since last night when Steven discovered the damage. A discovery that provoke considerable, and to my mind perfectly justifiable, anger on his part.
Personally I have always respected Steven's public spirit for leaving his property at the club and allowing the rest of us to use it as and when we need. A view, by the way, that I extend to all club members who do likewise (I am thinking here of Dave Wilkins who also stores a considerable amount of scenario at the club).
In return I think that is perfectly reasonable that we treat this stuff with a little respect, and as such I can fully understand Steven's frustration in this matter.
This is not difficult people – simply show a little consideration: pack stuff away tidily and make sure there is plenty of packing material (i.e. bubble wrap) around anything that is fragile.
Basically, treat other people's property as if it was your own.
So, in summery
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, have a little consideration people

Thanks Mike
I aplogise for my anger.
I take back what i said about people not being to use my stuff - everyone is of course free too.
I simply want it treated properly as you have so eloquently written.
All the best
Steven

Totally, and I feel his pain when it's broken - it should be looked after, but if people can't be trusted with it then I was thinking along the lines of preventing further breakage & inconvenience. Maybe as Club QM you could request a cage Steven & make people sign it in & out!! D

One of the reasons why i dont shift terrain backwards and forwards for the games that i play is the weight and size of the stuff that i use, up and down the stairs etc.
Cage - well Damon - as i own 1/2 of the gear thats in that store room, why not just lock it all?
I tell you what - far simpler - people simply treat the stuff properly - simples!

Yes Steven, I agree entirely &nadash; can everybody please take note
Also, just for the record, you really have nothing to apologise for – your frustration on this issue is, in my opinion, quite understandable
