I accidentally tripped and fell onto a job lot of SHQ miniatures (German, British, resistance), buildings, tanks, etc. at the weekend. Mostly I was after the tanks, buildings and the British paras but the chap offered me a good deal for the whole lot so I've got lots of Germans, especially, that I don't particularly need. If anyone is interested in what I've acquired, let me know and you can help me sort through it and work out what's there! (It's not always terribly clear to my bleary eyes and ignorant brain). Goods offered at a bargain price if you actually want anything.
There's also a hardback copy of the "Rules of Engagement" rules by Great Escape Games in there. I could just donate that to the 'club library' as I don't have any particular need for a new set of rules myself but somebody else may well find them interesting. I have two major gripes with my purchases at the moment: 1. The SHQ website has so few pictures of their miniatures that I can't tell what exactly I've bought. Germans. Possibly the SS Panzergrenadiers. Maybe. 2. The Altaya tanks are secured in their presentation boxes with screws that require a triangular allen key. Triangular? Who the hell owns one of them? I'm going to be using bolt-cutters to get them out at this rate ...

You can get a triangular screwdriver set on Ebay for less than a fiver - I had to so I could remove mine. This is the one I bought - linkyOr - you can heat the screw up, which melts the plastic base so it can be pulled off & then unscrewed with a pair of pliers Worth getting the screwdriver set TBH - I use mine for all sorts now..... Damon, you are my new hero. In future, I'm coming to you for all of my "difficult packaging" problems.

i have had this prob too. I drill the plastic around the screw using my little micro drill. This effectively drops the plastic base away - once you have done both screws. I then use pliers to grip the screw and unscrew it.

Steven, we must sort something out for a transfer of German forces! I'm not sure if I will be available on the 21st or not. If you're after them in a hurry, perhaps for a bit of Christmas painting therapy, we could sort out some kind of Cold War-style meeting on something other than a Monday night? Otherwise, I can just hold onto them until January.
