Hi All
While trying to decide what to watch on the box the other night I ended up putting Ike: the countdown to D day on with Tom Selleck. (To clarify, he was in the film. Not sitting on the sofa watching it with me. Although he'd be very welcome to visit I'm sure). Of course that then led to me rewatching the first few episodes of Band of brothers and so I was thinking about D day.
The thought ocurred that 6th June this year is a Monday and that perhaps we might play a commemorative game?
It would presumably need to be a shortish scenario for a Monday night so I wondered whether the assault on the artillery at Brecourt Manor might make a fun game?
Is anyone interested in this idea? And if so do we have a suitable ruleset, models scenery etc?

Sounds like a fine plan. Whilst I am currently in love with Chain of Command (two games into a mini-campaign and they are probably the finest wargaming experiences I have ever had) it's not a quick enough game for a Monday night, unless everybody knows it inside-out. Probably better off with either the club's Peter Gilder rules or with Bolt Action.
