According to John the rulebooks and GW's stock of LOTOW has been sold out, have to wait until next reprint. Is anyone thinking about getting Blood on the plains and/ or Showdown in the meantime though? I'm thinking about getting them, but can't afford to order until next Thursday.
I don't see a problem with not everybody having a rulebook, Joe and Dave Wilkins have got them.

I'd definitely think about getting one of the expansions. If you decide to get one Ove let me know and I'll get a different one. No point in us both getting the same I don't think.

I actually was thinking about getting both, but if I have to choose, probably Showdown. On another note, www.maelstromgames.co.uk still have 5 copies of each rulebook left John, so if you're interested, order it, they're pretty good and reliable. I got my stuff after 2 days. The Swede.

Wargames Workshop currently has copies of most of the rulebooks, including the main one.
I don't know whether they have sold out, but the GW Historical section had copies of the rules and the expansions down at Gamesday yesterday.

WargamesWorkshop was where I was told the stocks were running down. I just ordered it from Maelstrom, thanks Ove

I did have a look at some of the expansion books in WW. The idea that the rules could be adapted for other periods I found intriguing. Especially the FIW (French Indian War) as I have some minis that could suit! May be purchasing that add on book for just that function a good idea. Bags Hawkeye! Dave

You will have to let me know about the FIW supplement; as I also have plenty of individually based figures; including Hawkeye and his chums.

Can't remember the exact one I was reading in the shop, Think it may be the Alamo one, as the muskets etc are in the general era(50 years later or so, but the technology didn't move much!) Also some small unit action may be possable, as with the Santa Anna Mexicans. Dave
