I am discussing with Carl, from Wargames Workshop,( that is the Cranfield shop, for the uninitiated!) The possability of an AT43 one day tournament to be held in November (poss the 15th) at the shop. This will coincide nicely with all the new things no doubt in the pipeline for Xmas to do with the new Frostbite campaign for AT43. The Idea is to have a few 4x4 boards, each with a specific scenario and objectives. The players rotatre around the boards playing maybe 3 or 4 games in the day, and scoring VP. winner is the highest score at the end, draws will be decided on total points destroyed. I don't think we have had an AT43 tournie at Cranfield, so we will see how it pans out. Dave

The interest will be in who comes from outside our club. There must be others who have purchased from Carl, after all! Dave

Have to give my Karmans an outing - but should really play a game or two before the tournament!
How many points are you planning to specify?

Hi David, nice to have you here. Nothing is solid with the tournie yet. But I had thought in the 1500 region. Troublre is it can be difficult to shoehorn some armies into that ammount, that said, I want the games small enough to actually make the tournie work! Dave

Just need to buy 1 more squad to take me up to 1500 points. I've even arranged for a practice game so should be OK for the tournament - 15th November right?

How many players are you expecting? I'll be there, and one of the other WW regulars is also hoping to make it. I have some rather nice Rackhams prints for all players courtesy of UKCORD Actually played my first proper game on Monday ;D

I'll be coming, looking forward to my first proper game of AT-43.
I think from talking to various guys at Bedford on Monday there are three or four other members intending to come down.

I have no idea as to the numbers we may get. There may be 4 or 5 of us from Bedford, and it seems two from the WW club. I have prepared 4 scenarios for the tournament, so allowing for 8 players. If there are enough people I will stand down, and concentrate on running the tournament. Do people think this wil be enough? we can use Carl's terrain to make more tables using the scenario's I have created if necessary. Dave

8 players is enough to have a good day's gaming.
Should be enough scenery at Carl's but I'll put in a box of mine as back-up if I remember. Depends on what sort of scenarios/scenery you are intending, and a fair amount of cover is necessary for this game. There's probably enough for 4 tables of urban scenery at 4x4' or even 4x6'.
Better finalise my list I suppose ;D

Well, think of the Factory world, for scenery! Nano Generators, and containers, with buildings, and the green octagonal silos! nuff said..no clues!
