Having got currently 2 Baccus 6mm Napoleonic Armies I can certainly recommend them in terms of value for money.
If you're thinking about 6mm WSS have you looked at the Polemos rules produced by Baccus?

I am in Birmingham that weekend and would not be back for the start of the game but should get there at some stage. I am nore than happy to lend my Russians...There is almost enough but may need Dave to help with Cav and Grenadiers. My Swedes are also availale to be Prussians for the day but they realy dont like it!

Hi Mark I have had a look on the Pendragen site; lack of pictures; if they are anything like their AWI range which has pictures (these may be the newest) then they are going to look better than Baccus 6mm. I have some of their 10mm Franco Prussians and I was a little disappointed when compared to the Chariot Minitures figure. In the end I suppose it is going to come down to the size of Armies we want to field and the base size we go for; 20 plus figues on a base should look ok. Happy to contribute if you want to pick up some samples; or even if you want to take the plunge on Sunday, as long as you take your spec's I am happy to trust your judgement. Terry

I am intreagued by this 6mm shenanigens! looked at Baccus site, very intrigued. I will be interested to see your miniatures gentlemen, and in short time if the advert is to be believed! At £24 for an army this may be worth an excursion...once my other projects are up to speed !! Dave

Martyn; Has to be WSS for me; and I dont mind which army I start with but I suspose that it needs to be British; French or Dutch. I have never tried 6mm or 10mm figures before so it would be a fresh challenge.

If you want to see an example of 6mm Baccus I can bring some in. Personally I can't stand painting em but in all fairness they do look good when finished. Also makes doing a new period quite cheap. The WSS stuff looks very nice too. On the plus side if you purchased the Baccus Army deals you get all your bases include which can then be used as the club standard base size for Might and Reason Hoorah

Terry
if we went with the Blenheim campaign we could go for British, Dutch, Austrian/Imperial, French or Bavarian.
I quite fancy Austrian myself.

Mark
Are you going to make the 6mm / 10mm decision on Sunday ?

Maybe. I plan to look closely at both, and will either plunge headlong in or, more likely, buy some test packs - with a view to buying "large" at Reading in November.
I'm leaning towards the 6mm at the moment, but much will depend upon the look of the figs in the "flesh".

If you plunge headlong in, what army will you go for, or will that depend what the figures look like ?

I don't know for sure.
I quite fancy the Dutch, but more for the LoA period. Maybe the Frenchies.

You might want to check out Old Glory on SUnday as well. They do 10mm WSS at £12 for 100 foot or 30 horse.

Could this be the basis of a club game for next year? Blenheim? Dave
