Mark You might want to check out Old Glory on SUnday as well. They do 10mm WSS at £12 for 100 foot or 30 horse. Martyn Will do, but I'm not a fan of their larger scale stuff, so I'm not expecting to be impressed.

Could this be the basis of a club game for next year? Blenheim? Dave IMHO - No. Not impressive enough, unless we were to do the whole thing in 6mm. Would be about 12" by 4", over 6000+ figures. See this guy who did it for the 300th anniversary. www.baccus6mm.com/includes/projects/murraynash.php

Looks good; I like the three ranks of 12; doing the whole battle is a fair challenge!

If we were to do a WSS game for next year (bearing in mind Mark's previously expressed antipathy to another C18th club game) it really should be Malplaquet - 300th anniversary and all that.

Depending on how many we put on a base I think we will not need any more Bavarians. I even have some odds and ends to spare!
Thinking bigger I got some 28mm Front Rank WSS Austrians too. (Mark got some French)
Also Under you bed are releasing GNW Prussians

Did you get a Baccus Army Pack ? Presumably you mean Mark got 6mm French ?
Did Mark get any for Terry ?

Mark got 6mm and 28mm WSS French ... and a British army for Terry. I got an army pack of Bavarians and some extra limbers etc.

Right, I think I'll go for Dutch, then. That will probably give us more flexibility than Austrians - and not so many white coats to paint, of course !!!!

I dipped my toe. Bought two army packs: French and British. The Brits are for Terry, if he wants them. Assuming I enjoy painting them, my plan is to pick up some more @ Reading in November. Some more Frenchies and then some Dutch. I also bought a unit of Front Rank Frenchies. Not really sure why. Was toying with the idea of painting up a couple of units for the Williamite wars in Ireland using BLB. It's been over a year since I've painted anything that wasn't a Fantasy figure or a Horsa glider. These figures look like they'll be fun - if I can get past wondering where all the spikes and skulls have gone

So does this mean the momentum is shifting towards 6mm?
I'm sure Claire will be pleased as 6mm is so much cheaper.
