Well, Mark, some of us fluffed it big time, and some didn't do so bad, Eh Martyn!?! But yes I think the format is the same. There is usually some sort of tradestand, usually Peters bookshop, and the Poppy Appeal second hand sale (NOT a bring & buy). A good night out.

What a bummer ! I have to work on the evening of the 16th Oct., so won't be able to come along to the Hitchin quiz this year.

Basicly every year our friends at Black Wolf wargames club, Hitchin organise an interclub quiz night. There are representatives from most of the local clubs, Luton Legionnairs, Huntingdon & District, Dunstable Generals, Milton Keynes, maybe others I am unaware of, or forgot! Anyhow, we all come along with nibbles, beer for the evening, and sit one team to a table . Teams are 3 or 4 people. Peter (the chap who runs Hitchin) or some one he has asked, then run the quiz. Military history or wargaming related questions, with the winners geting a prize. All good fun. Dave

I'm definitely in - we cannot do as bad as we did last year for our team. Either dodgy Dave got very lucky or Martyn is a genius and will be sadly missed?

Great night - outide the top 3 but with the portly gentlemen back it was always going to be tough. Questions were challenging in most rounds which was good. The big question now is should be do one in spring as host club? Martyn - you were obviously missed

Yes Martyn, you were missed ;D. But that doesn't distract from our preformance, I think we did well(not at the bottom!). Well, a couple of the lads on the night asked if we would put on a Quiz, any thoughts? Dave

I enjoyed the quiz, even if I was stumped by the questions more often than not.
I'd like to see you do a quiz of your own, if only because I clearly could do with the additional practice.
If you do decide to do one, I'll do my best to ensure that Phoenix supplies a team to take part.
