Dave, it's not a lack of interest. I don't think many of the usual 7YW crowd will be there on Sunday. I know I won't be.

Dave
I second Mark's note. I'd be happy to have a go at BTLB with my SYW Prussians masquerading as their predecessors. I didn't pipe up 'cos I couldn't come to the September all day Sunday.

Your presumptions are correct...well in my case they are. I only suggested the 21st. as I believe, that as it's an unfamiliar set of rules, the more time available on a Sunday would enable us to gain a better knowledge of the rules. I do shift work so I am seldom aware of which Sundays and Mondays I can attend the club much in advance. Any more thoughts gentlemen?

Well, I'm happy to pencil in the October all day Sunday if others will guide me gently through the rules. I know both Mark and Graham have got copies of these rules and have both expressed an interest in having a crack with them.

How do people feel about the Sunday all day as it's been shifted? I couldn't make the 12th. so I didn't sggest that day.

Mark
As I was busy blowing Mike's space ships to smithereens last night I wasn't privy to the discussion you were having.
What is the plan for the Might & Reason game in October ?

We just thought we'd give one of the two scenarios in the book a go - using our 28mm and some movement trays and some fiddling.
Not which scenario though. The choice is:
Warburg (1760)
French: Army command, plus 4 sub-commanders
9 infantry (inc 2 Swiss) 3 Cavalry 1 Skirmisher
Anglo-Allied: Army command, plus 3 sub-commanders
6 Infantry 4 Cavalry
or . . .
Zorndorf (1758)
Russian: Army Command, plus 5 sub-commanders
15 Infantry 5 Heavy Arty 9 Cavalry (inc 3 Cossacks)
Prussian: Army Command, plus 6 sub-commanders
10 Infantry 5 Heavy Arty 8 Cavalry
Our plan was to use 2 of our 12 man AoR units for each Infantry regiment - each unit of 12 representing a single M&R stand (deployed 2x2).
For the Cav - we'd use 8 figures (4 stands) - two AoR stands representing each M&R stand.
Warburg only needs a 6 x 4, and Zorndorf a 7 x 5 table, but then Zorndorf was a really big battle fought in a very confined space.

Assuming that the next all day is on the 9th., is anybody, (with an 18th. Century army), up for trying Beneath, (or Under), the Lily Banners that day?

Daveb,
I'm interested. I have 28mm SYW Prussians. Don't have BLB, but am happy to be spoon fed the mechanisms. I know Graham has BLB and wanted to give them a try.

Martyn, Shall we make that definite then? I've never played the rules, but I'm sure we can figure out some way of using your Prussians as a WSS army, e.g if they're based in fours we can call them sixes, or whatever. I'm just looking to try the rules not to win a best demo game competition. Stir up some electrons and let me know what you think, if Graham wants to play I say the more the merrier. Dave.

Yeah, I'll pen that in, then. My Prussians are based for Age of Reason, so the foot are in 12s, 3 to a base 1½" x 1" per base. The cavalry are also in 12s, 2 to a 2" x 2" base.
