Has anybody any experience of this as a wargames period? Also has anybody ever bought and or painted Perry Miniatures figures?
I'm curious because this is something else I'm considering, Southern U.S. troops for me, I'd be looking to find someone prepared to get the British/Loyalists as I don't want to be caught with an opponent-less army

Its a period I have been tempted with; nice figures etc; but the A of R games we played tended to go the same way; American retreats into wood and shoots you to bits before you can ever get close. Some of the re-enactments we did were interesting; there is a nice article in the front of the latest Battlegames mag; it even uses the hex terrain.
