Well, not as decisive as I'd hoped, but enough of the pointy eared pixies fell to my army to make it a rewarding evenings work. A tough game for both Generals and credit to Mike for wiping out a fair chunk of my army after both his characters had turned tail and fled of the board......no comments on Elven bravery necessary.
Victory points came out about even around the 900-1000 mark so 2 pts to each General - even if mine was the only one who hadn't run away.

The Ogres have been vanquished in my relentless pursuit of 'running things over with spikey wheels'.
Commiserations to Ben, in what was a very enjoyable game, and who was exceedingly sporting throughout as I picked bits of Ogre out of my chariot spokes.
Next game is Daiv and his Lizardmen (read 'Stegadons and monsters') on the 19th - may find them harder to run over, but who knows.
So its then down to Ash and Dave to appear from the left or right flank to continue to motion.....how goes the painting guys and when are you up for a game?

Well, another Monday and another victory, but not without cost as my General was run down by lowly skinks whilst he tried to 'redeploy' himself away from the action at high speed.
Obvious low-light there, but as I laughed when it happened to Mike, what goes around comes around. Highlights were few in the meat grinder that was the first few turns., the Giant 'thump with club' doing 8 wounds with no save on a Stegadon was good, as was a small beastherd seeing off the Razordons, but all in all the points don't reflect how tight it was until the last turn or so. Cheers for a good game Daiv, now go get them Elves.

Unfortunately not, I am back up to Shrewsbury for work next week, and probably the week after too. (this also means limited if any internet,must take my psp!)
