Well, regardless of cut off dates, it seems most of the club who are interested want a curry after all, which was the whole point of the exercise. Now I know lots of people are after something different to what we usually do,so where do we want to go? Dave

Ye gads, 9-7 now
Unless the laws of arithmatic have gotten seriously bent (which, by the way, I'm seriously beginning to suspect) that's 3 votes AFTER the poll closed
How meny system administrators do we have out there?

I'm afraid I don't have much experience of curry places in Bedford, but a couple caught my eye as I passed by, so here goes. A new place just opened in Bedford where Mamma Mia's used to be, at the corner where St Peter's Street turns into Kimbolton Road, I think it goes under the rather exotic title of "Kasbah - Fine Indian Cuisine". There is another restaurant at the top of the high street (St. Peter's Street intersection) which intriguingly offers "Indian Tapas". Has anyone heard anything about these places? Edit: The name of the Indian Tapas bar is The Rajkot, here's a link to their site and menu: www.rajkot-tapas.co.uk/

There's only me. I think "admins" can always vote in polls, but in doing so they reopen them. It looks like that in doing so it's allowed the disenfranchised cuury supporting masses to flood out of the woodwork. Hurrah! ;D

I would like to say that I am disappointed that it only let me vote once for the Cristmas curry to be curry, as I like curry so much I would like to register 4 votes for curry....as the old motto states "vote early vote often"

(...) In 1831 it had eleven voters, all of whom were landowners who lived elsewhere. This made Old Sarum the most notorious of the rotten boroughs. The Reform Act 1832 completely disenfranchised Old Sarum.

The vote has come through - has democracy been perverted? Who cares! Curry it is!!!! Realise!!
Seriously thgough - the more important point is the date and as no one has objected, the great Satan moves that it be FRIDAY 11 DECEMBER! We do have to get a move on so that the comitte can book this as the restaurants will be booking up. As to restaurants - why not try Saffron for Indian and the Chinese down Lime Street!

Saffron is a bit posh. There's always the Magna - we've been there before.
Steve can try and eat a whole ice-cream pineapple again ;D

For what its worth, I reckon the Magna is the best curry house in Bedford.
So there.

The Magna seats the most and would probably be the best bet for a last minute booking as we have left it much later than last year. The food has always been pretty good and In my opinion better than the usual place. How many other curry houses can you think of that could comfortably seat over a dozen people?

Terrance - why wouldnt we be welcome in Saffron - are we too much of the "lower quality end" of the market for them? Will i disgrace us again by leering at some bird and getting her boyfriend anoyed? ha ha ha !
Yes i shall eat a huge Pineapple! Yes lets go to Magna as its good! PTO - make the booking and dont skimp on the poppadums or Graham will cry!
