Bedford Gladiators has been in existence for over 35 years. Starting in the Fox and Hounds in Clapham in the 70's we now meet at the North end Club Bedford on Mondays from 7:30 till 11:00 and also on the Second Sunday of the Month from 12:00 till 11:00 for longer and larger Games. If that link doesn't work then type the postcode MK41 7TW into google mpas or something similar. The club is on the junction of Roff Avenue and Tavistock street. Entrance to the car-park is via Chandos St - which is off Tavistock St. We cover a wide range of Wargames Periods and have a number of role-playing groups that are actively recruiting players. We currently have a lower age limit of 16 for members and are affiliated to the GCN. |

i'm just wondering if the club still meets at the north end club,i havent played for a few years and wanted to start again and was thinking off coming down.

Your first visit is free. From then on attendance is £2, with a charge of £1 for the unwaged.
Membership per year is £6 with a charge of £3 for the unwaged. Our year runs from 1st April to end of March, so your yearly membership for the last month of this year will be pennies. AGM is in 4 weeks or so. The committee will soon post the actual date of the AGM.

Can i suggest that you simply come along and then you can see what games are played. Our members play many sorts of games, but certain games are in vogue at the moment.
I understand that a D&D session is in play, that Traveller is being played, another sort of role playing game is going on. Various board games are played. The current vogue game is X Wing - the Star Wars fighter game. There are various other games going on which i dont understand - im sure other club members can elaborate. We play many historical games including WW2, Napoleonic, French Indian Wars, Samurai, WW1 air combat as well.
Once you have come alonmg, a good idea is then to post on here asking for a game in something that you are interested in and see what the interest is. We are a very broad church - we play many different games and you will find that there is always something for you to join in with. Dont be too disappointed tho if the sort of games that you have played arent at the moment being played - thats the way it is, just join in with something else.
