Phoenix's Rushden Rumble Double's Tournament

Hi everyone,
no doubt that Stephen has mentioned this to a few of you good chaps at Bedford Gladiators.

We will be running a Swiss Style (muesli and chocolate?) Fantasy Doubles Tournament on the Saturday 6th March a month before the actual doubles at GW which will be on the 10th and 11th of April I have been told (reliable source). I have finished a draft of the "Doubles games rule pack" for this event and I am just awaiting a final read through.

This gives people a good chance to test out any doubles armies they may take. There will be three games over the day. If you have an interest with this registration is at 9.00am and the first game will start at 9.30. This is intended as a friendly bunch of games and I would like to offer spots to you guys before I go and advertise elsewhere. We have enough tables for 20 teams but you will have to quick before I offer it out to others.

If you have an interest all you will need is a 750pts fantasy force and a partner with the same. No draws will done like yours as people at this stage will be interested in playing their potential GW Doubles army. Tickets are £5 each and £10 for the team.
There will be awards etc...

There are a few quirks in this to make it a Phoenix venture than just a GW copy. These will be revealed to you and are there as an option (take it or leave it). To stop confusion of how each game should be run we will just play pitched battles for all of them.

This has been up for a month or so and no replies from the Bedford Gladiators at all. I know its early (2 months away or so) but perhaps give it a thought after Christmas and the New Year guys?

I'm definately up for this and Dave Wilkins is thinking about it too, and we're thinking of pairing up for it

I believe Dave will be in your neck of the woods this evening so feel free to ask him then. In the meantime you can at least pencil us in.

Mike + Dave - Any news about the forces your taking? You don't have to submit a list just what two forces you are taking. I need it for the tournie data spreadsheet but no hurry if you still need time.

Just 4 team places left - got the trophies which are as follows:
x2 doubles winners
x2 doubles runners-ups
x2 Phoenix Bloodthirster trophies
x1 best painted force.
x2 Framed best sporting team award
x2 wooden spoon trophies (actually still finalising these two).

Its gotta be worth the fiver to try and win this - oh and just to let everyone know the results from this will be registered at Rankings HQ. You don't have to register at all at RHQ if you don't want to its just for people playing that do or have.
