I have had an email from the GCN asking what games we play and what we would like the GCN to support. I believe they are geting in touch with people to this end ,manufacturer wise. I have a form that asks, do we play these games? Flames of War, Heroclix, Star Wars Miniatures, Horror Clix, Mech Warrior, Hordes, Warmachine, Magic;the gathering. It also asks what systems we think the GCN should support. I would say AT43 and Confrontation, do we have votes for Age of Reason, Lilly Banners, FoG, Fire & Fury, DBA,Age of Eagles,Killer Katanas, Wings of War , Full Thrust ? any others? Dave

Happy for you to tell them what rules we use - they may fall over when they see the size of the list, and we add to it every month!
Not sure what they mean by support? Do they mean to arrange competitions, setting up forums or what?
Don't forget Warmaster, Peter Guilder ww2, Command Decision, Rapid Fire, and what about all the naval rules for Napoleonics, WW1, WW2, Renaissance and ACW, and the guys were playing Cold War Commander the other week for modern that look really good.

Forgot to say do have any contacts at GCN I could talk to (email) to investigate the possibility of us playing our warhammer league finals at GW Nottingham site?
What do other people think of that idea?

Like the idea of playing at Warhammer World.
As for the amount of games to tell GCN about - I'd opt for keeping it to the main rule sets. This GCN we're talking about.
Some of the more obscure systems are not going to get coverage. Like you say though - what do they mean by support - GCN is GW after all.

The GCN makes a point of stating they are independant of GW, although they get some nice perks, like being in White Dwarf, and on the website, plus other assistance. What this 'Support' entails you could guess at , but may be in the form of Discount as per the Soc of Ancients, Soc of 20th C Gamers, et al. Or maybe some other benefit, such as tournament support. Anyhow, I think with a wider base than just GW games, this can only be good for the GCN, and by association for us, but probably in the long term. Dave
