You've said that several times before. Its time to step up to the plate. I look forward to playing Wilkins Naps v1.0 !

I do have Polemos and 2 armies for it as well. Now a complete Nap novice friend of mine have played it and thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable game. The main problem is its 6mm and you get a battalion / brigade per stand However you're more than welcome to try it out with my toys if you want. Won't help you with all those 15mm though.

Re. an earlier post of yours on this thread: I bought myself a copy of Grand Armee at Campaign. Having read them through I am cautiously optimistic. Would need to make some 3" square movement bases, but otherwise not too many changes needed. Would be happy to give them a crack one all-day Sunday.

How about we try out the free quick play rules on a Monday and go for an all day session for the full set. I may have to purchase a set .
What is the basing then as you mention 3" square?
How many figures per base?
I have two 6mm armies based for Polemos we could use.

The basing system is that everything (except guns) goes on a 3" square base. How many figs you have on that base is not relevant. The unit is given a strength point (SP) rating which reflects the size of the brigade, its morale level and its training level.
I did actually print out the freebie rules at work on Friday, but haven't looked through them yet.

I've a copy of Grand Armee, if somebody would like to borrow them for a read through. May as well see if they float your boat before stumping up the £20+
I thought they had potential, but didn't like the basing system - which reminded me of the Volley & Bayonet ruleset. They are for very big battles though, with C&C (or rather the lack of it) being the core of the rules.

I wouldn't mind having a gander Mark.
I won't be there tonight as I'm recovering from my marathon but I'll definitely be along next Monday as soon as I can organize a game.
