Yes im back!
This Monday we return to the summer of 1944, some 8 days after D-Day!
Can the hard pressed German army stop the massed armour of Britains finest in the foreboding hedgerows of Normandy?
We shall see!
All welcome as always!

A glorious victory for Haupf Will and Sgt Steven!
Small German force of 1 platoon of Luftwaffe Division troops in Half Tracks supported by Panzer IVs, 2 Marders and a Pak 97 (a french 75mm on a Pak 38 carrige - looks good, regarded as poor. As we will see, it wasnt!). Will was in charge, riding in a Panzer IV.
Peter - Leutenant Carstairs-Smyth had 3 Shermans, a Firefly, a platoon of infantry in Half tracks and a 6 pdr anti-tank gun.
Peter won the toss and came on first, driving for the village. Steven took the german troops down the road to contest the village, whilst Will negotiated the bocage on the right with the tanks.
The Firefly and the 6pdr killed a Panzer IV.
Steven managed to win a hard fought fight around the coaching inn and church. The German infantry does have greater firepower at a section level than the British and that showed. Of course it didint help that for once, Steven got decent dice rolls and Peter didnt - quite a change really. Also the oft derided Pak 97 managed to kill the Firefly!
The British force retreated!
Victory for Germany!
