"The Works" Book and clearance shop

Thanks to Steve Wilson and Terrance for telling me about this.

The Works has a number of 1/48 tanks in stock plus some 20mm IS2 tanks. The 1/48 stuff is £10 a vehicle - seems that they have lots and lots of French WW2 Somuas and at least 1 German Hanomag with Wuffer rockets. The IS2s are £2 each and i have one here in front of me - its maybe 1/76th scale and is superb to be honest!

I hear you bought 1 or 2 of the IS2's then, the Bedford shop also had in 1/48 some British Cruiser VI tanks for Italy and some German Pumas.

I went to the works in MK and found some 20mm die cast tanks at £2. IS2's yes but also T80's, T28's ISU122's armoured cars, trucks, S tanks, Challenger etc etc etc after emptying the store I went to the Bedford branch and found some more. The MK shop had the same 1/48th range as Bedford.
