Besides scoring a Wound on 4+, unless needing less, a rule I forgot on Sunday is this: When a hit is scored, whether resulting in a Wound or not, the target figure is considered Knocked Down. Even horses and in that case probably resulting in a Thrown Rider roll. That is a side effect of getting shot at by something that can kill a Buffalo right out! Don't think that it would have made a difference in the outcome of the games though, but worth remembering for further ones.
The Swede.

Ah right, I knew that it knocked people of horses but had forgotten that it knocked ordinary folks down to. I shall have to remember this Thanks Ove!

Nah I doubt it would of changed anything. I don't even know what the rules for being knocked down are so I'll have to swat up.

I think the only way it will make a difference is that it'll make the fallen over person harder to see for subsequent shots and if you can charge into them before they stand up they won't be able to hurt you in combat.
Not sure if falling over affects whether or not they can fire in that round?
