With a lot going on, I feel the need to post my intended involvements/ runnings of games in the near future: LOTOW- Hopefully we can finish off the Campaign with the Grand Finale in February (just before I go home to Sweden for 8 days.) WDC- Plan to kick-off on Monday 2/2, confirmed players so far: Joe, Stephen, Agnes and I. Think Chris was interested, but not sure. In that case, 1-2 spaces going. For info, see this thread: bedfordgladiators.proboards81.com/index.cgi?board=opponentswanted&action=display&thread=360EarthAD (RPG): As everyone seem happy with it, I'll gladly continue it as soon as we get LOTOW done, and not clashing with other games. Probably in March at the earliest. D&D 4th Ed: As usual on the 2nd Monday of the month. Winter's Blood (RPG): Another thing I wrote a couple of years back in Sweden, but never got around to. Pre-made characters (expect fairly normal characters) involving a school re-union and I think you can put it in the "Creeper" genre. Probably will only need a Long Sunday to get it through. Maximum of 5 players. With this, I think I can fairly say that I'm all stocked up for spring at least. Of course we'll continue to play Ye Ole Merry Boardgames on a regular basis as well, we've acquired Kingsburg (nice little game for 2-6 players, about 60-90 mins, even Agnes and I managed that!) and have a few other prospects (A Touch of Evil, Hunter: Deadly Prey and Descent), if anyone knows anything about these games, please let us know. Not worth buying it if a lot of people say it's SH... "not too good". The Swede.

I have now received my copy of Descent.
Got lots of nice figures, and a lot of cardboard stuff that needs punching out.
Had a quick read through the rules and it doesn't sound to complex. Should be fairly easy to pick up.
It ought to feel a bit like a more personal level version of Runebound.

Because Runequest has got me thinking about it all the time I've ordered the Call of Cthulhu RPG book. With so many things on I'm not looking to do anything soon - but perhaps in a few months time I might run a one-off if there's some interest. Just a distant heads-up. Looking forward to getting through all the things (LoToW, D&D, RQ, BoardGames, Earth A.D.) I have stocked up for the moment

I would also enjoy having a go at CoC.

Yep, definately up for CoC - as long as it's the real CoC, not the d20 version (which I won't voice my opinion on since the swear word filter would probably do some unmentionable to it)

Oh yes, it's the lovely original version.

In that case I'm definately in
Also can I suggest we roll up three characters? I've played this before and I know, from bitter experience, that by the end of the first session at least two of 'em will be either dead, insane or (more likely) both ;D ;D

Haha, yeah I tended to spend spare time I had during the campaign generating spare characters. They invariably got used.
If i'm doing a one off then you probably won't need more than the one. But if it turns into a bigger campaign then it might be wise to have a few stand by's.

I'm replacing the Winter's Blood with World of Darkness after the glimpses I've had. Going to flesh out something nice (and nasty) and if people are interested later on, we can launch that as well.
General idea: the players start out as fairly ordinary people but will encounter creatures from Beyond etc, and continue a forgotten battle that has been raging on since time immemorial. Yet again I will draw a lot from old CHILL, so it's not only Mages, Vampires, Ghosts and Werewolves, other Creepy things will find space here as well.
