I meant to mention this at the club yesterday but forgot.
Basically Phoenix Gaming are running an informal Warhammer 40K Doubles tournament on Saturday (No Prizes, just the glory of victory).
This will be using pretty much the 40K Doubles rules that GW use. So 500 point forces, between both forces you must conform to a standard army pattern (Must have 1 HQ and 2 Troops between you, no more than 6 troops, 3 heavy, etc in the army).
We are however permitting any alliances no matter how strange.
The tournament format will be three games, the first one random, after that winners will be paired against winners and so forth. All three mission types will be played so a balanced flexible army will probably be best.
This will of course be taking place at our standard venue (The Scout Hall in Rushden), and will be running from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday, with the first game due to kick off at about 10:30am.
Entry is £4 to cover the cost of the hall hire.
We've already got 4 confirmed teams from Phoenix's membership, and one possible Phoenix/Bedford alliance team, but if any of the Bedford members would like to form a team and come along you would of course be more than welcome.
If anyone does want to come down could they let me know so I've got an idea of roughly how many teams I'm expecting.
