Members, some of you may know there has been some polaticking afoot in the GCN. Basicly there is a faction in the organisation that wants a more progressive, forward thinking direction, with more independance . Your committee has discussed this and we are supporting this factions nominee for president, Si Crocker. I had a chance to chat with Si at the recent EGM, and I believe he is the man to take the organisation to the next level. This is good for the GCN, good for the hobby, and therefore good for the Bedford Gladiators. Dave Wilkin

Well Steve, although the GCN is an independant organisation, it is still quite closely connected to GW, what with the pages in White Dwarf, and use of GW offices and facilities at Warhammer world for AGM and council meetings. Very usefull and gratefully accepted though this is, it is a stumbling block to lots of the older clubs who still see the GCN as the illegitemate child of the Evil Empire and not join the GCN on that basis of mistrust! With a little more diversification, maybe connections with other magazines, and more cash to back it up, the GCN can evolve into the true national voice of wargaming, in its entirety, not just warhammer and GW games.
