Sorry Stef, due to a very early start and a long drive to Bristol tommorrow, I think it best I don't go to club tonight, as 4 hours sleep will not be a good idea! We will definately have a go in a couple of weeks or so ( I think I booked a game next week vs Derek). Cheers, Dave

I am working on my German infantry for Rate of Fire, I have a HQ section, One HMG team, One 81mm mortar team, and two rifle squads. Each squad is equipped with MP40s, Kar 98K rifles, One MG42 LMG.
My question is should I include the STG44 assault rifle in any of my squads, could anyone give me some advise on this please.

Right Steff you old pirate. this question is answered by asking - what period is yr infantry platoon? The Sturm Assualt Rifle was introduced in 44 but only appeared in larger numbers in 1945. Its issue tended to be to elite units such as armoured infantry of the SS and army. Cnversely it was also issued to Volksgrenider units as an attempt to redress their lack of personnel with greater firepower. However, usage and issue was limited. If you are lucky, you might have 2 in each squad which would be a good and appropriate number i would suggest. If you google Stg44 you will get more info. However i would say that the unit is yours and you can do what you want. It would be unlikely to have all troops in a unit to have been issued Stg44 - there simply werent that many issued. As a side note from March 45 some German units, particualy those in the fortresses of Breslau and Berlin were isssued with a cheaper and easire to manufacture version of the Stg44 - dont recall its name though.
Hope that helps!

Hi Stef as Steve has said depends upon the period, but there's no reason not to paint some up. You can add and deduct figure and weapons to suit your scenario.
