Hello Chaps (and chappettes)
I have recently moved from Hemel to sunny Bedfordshire with my Mrs and so have been looking for a local gaming group as I'm finding it difficult to get to my old club as often as I'd like.
I play board games (all of them!) RPGs (DnD 4th ed currently with a Sunday night game up to 27th lvl) and could possibly be tempted back into the world of Games Workshop although I'd broken the addiction once before... not sure I'm strong enough again...!
Just interested in if you are still alive as a club, and who's playing what etc?
Cheers

Hello Stuart
Welcome to The Bedford Gladiators
I think you can see from the volume of activity that we are a diverse, busy and active club.
We game on Monday nights - hence the late post - just returned from another excellent gaming session. You can find us at the North End Club which is located at the end of Tavistock Street and Roff Avenue. There is plenty of parking at the club and our hours are 7pm to 11pm.
Membership is £6 a year (£3 for retired / unwaged) and is £2 per night (50p retired etc). Your first attendance will be free though as we would like you to see what we are like and meet the gang. We also have a meeting on the 2nd Sunday of each month and our hours at that are 12noon to 11pm. This month this meeting will actually be this Sunday.
Now we are very fortunate in that we have extensive storage facilities at the club and so we do have many items of club scenery, armies and board games for your use as a member.
What do we play? Well our club is a very broad church and so the members of the club play many different games and systems. You will see from the discussions going on on this site that we play / have (amongst others) a role playing group, many members playing various Games Workshop games. Malifaux, Force on Force - Modern scirmish, Western gunfight, World War Two, WW1 air combat, Napoleonic, American Civil War, English Civil War, WW2 - 28mm, 20mm, 15mm, 1:300th, Modern 20mm, Naval - Japanese v Russians 1904, Space ship combat - the list goes on (apologies to anything ive missed). We are always open to new games and new periods and we do have an active board game gang.
So, we'll see you next week!

Welcome to the Gladiators, there isn't much to add to Steven's excellent introduction. In addition to the detailed list of games Steven's already listed, Warmachine, Infinity, and post apocalyptic systems like Wastelands also grace the gaming tables of the club. Pick up games are easy to arrange via the forum, and as you can tell from Steven's post, somebody at the club is likely to have minis for whatever system you are interested in.
I think there is even a post-apocalyptic campaign based on Necromunda rules in progress at the moment, open to players with no restriction on minis being GW necessarily. I'm tempted to use my AT-43 minis for this myself!
There's also a Deathwatch RPG campaign due to start in August sometime, which might be of interest, while I believe a Runequest campaign is ongoing.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the warm welcome!
I'll definitely come down next Monday - sounds like you run pretty much any and everything which is awesome.
In my younger days we did have a rather large and ongoing Necromunda campaign - I fear it may be time to don protective gear and head to the attic in search of long lost minis!
