Some real edge-of-the-seat action unfolded when we ran into Crisis Suits which were dishing it out with Plasma Rifles. A xeno menace indeed! Edit: I recently stumbled across a tongue-in-cheek diorama online, linked below. Maybe it would have been an idea to have modded the XV8 Crisis suit and showed the xenos how to get things done, retaining the undercover Khornate livery, of course! Thanks for another great evening of Deathwatch plot and action John. On a less cheerful note, I've just had a look at my timetable and I'm afraid I shan't be able to make the next session as I'll be at a seminar in London until 6pm that day.
.Edit: I'd still like to attend but would be joining in mid-session at about 8:30pm or so. If that doesn't derail things I'll be there.

Assuming at least 3 of the others can make it, it probably makes sense to start as normal and have you join whenever you get there.

Next session is 24.10.2011
I expect the campaign to last another 2-3 sessions (including the 24th). Prepare to exterminate the xenos threat in the name of your primarchs and the mighty god emporer!

The next, and likely final, Deathwatch session will be on the 7th November.
I'm going to aim to start off at 19:30 as there will be a lot to cram in. Obviously if you're a little late for any reason you'll be able to drop in as you arrive.
Having taken down a Trygon I'm having a little trouble trying to think of something to top it. It's tough but I've got a week to devise something.

I may be a bit late, but hopefully this isn't going to be an issue if I catch the same train I did the last time I had a tight schedule.

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make it this week. I'm having some Car problems.

Just wanted to say again big thanks to John for running this and Martin for suggesting it - I had a blast! (well thousands of little blasts I guess with all the bolts that heavy bolter disgourged!).
Two learning points for me:
1) Always give a huge gribbly monster a silly name (I suspect I'll remember Stumpy the Trygon for a while)
2) Space wolf devastators seem to be able to aim a lot better when mag booted to the ceiling
Thanks all Chris

Thanks for running this campaign John, it was a really great introduction to RPGs. Count me in whenever you feel like running a sequel or another RPG of any sort. Thanks to fellow players for making it such a fun experience too!

Glad you both enjoyed it Chris and Mike. I had a really good time running it. Space Marines will always have a special place in my heart and the game certainly did them justice. I'm sure some of the heroic craziness you all got up to could be straight from a Michael Bay film!
