Hi, only just been acepted to the forum and looking to find what rpg games are going on in the future as i would love to get involved.
Due to the distance its hard just to turn up see what goes (seen as a live in daventry - no exactly gaming central)
Thanks look forward to hearing from you...

Welcome
A direct answer to your question is that i do not know as i dont play these games. I thought someone should answer you, and hopefully those who do play your type of RPG will be able to asnwer.
I can say though that we do have several established role playing groups. We do have a member called John who i believe lives in Daventry and he comes aong twice a month or so.
I can also tell you that we play many other games, both RPG, Games Workshop games and historical wargames. Your first visit will be free too. I know its some distance but sometimes it is best to turn up and join in!

Hello,
Steven is correct on all counts. I also hail from gaming deprived Daventry!
To the best of my knowledge there are no ongoing roleplay games now but there are a couple that are in the pipeline. > Mike (Mike954 on the forum) is planning to run an anime-esque mecha rpg. He ran a first session last week that was great fun. This may kick off in earnest on the 5th (I'd suggest double checking with him first via PM). > 'Shiny' ran a great 'lost worlds' themed session and I believe has considered running some more. > I've just closed off a Deathwatch campaign. In the spring I may re-boot this, an alternative 40k universe RPG or potentially a short D&D 4 campaign. > Mike (Mike on forum) had been running a Runequest RPG but injured his leg and has since been conspicuously missing... > Ove (Legionaire on forum) has run a number of RPGs in the past (super heroes, post apocalyptic, wild west); all of which were great fun. I don't think he's got anything planned at the moment though.
Finally, I'd second Steven's suggestion about turning up. The RPGers tend to use the forum, but it's always much easier to arrange things in person and put a couple of names to faces. If you let everyone know I'm sure they can find something to entertain you while you're over. Steven runs an irritatingly good WWII game just about each week and is happy to *cough*try and subvert*cough* include other players.
Regards, John

> Mike (Mike on forum) had been running a Runequest RPG but injured his leg and has since been conspicuously missing... Technically this is still ongoing, just on hold until I get this bl**dy plaster off of my leg I'm next down the hospital on 12 th Dec and (hopefully) I'll lose it then, so I'll be looking to restart any time after that As always, all are welcome Mike

Glad you're still alive, if not yet kicking, Mike. Hope everything goes well and you're properly mobile again soon.
As to my first post, sorry about the excessive use of the word 'great'. It seems I am in need of a positive adjective edition word of the day calendar.

Yep, great system -- that's kinda why I use it As I said, I will be looking to start up again as soon as my leg is fixed and you will be welcome to join in The system is RuneQuest 3 (the Avalon Hill version) with a couple of minor house rules -- if you've played any version of RQ before you shouldn't have any problems The setting is basically the classic Borderlands campaign, but we've long since finished the published material and we're well into sequel territory now Check out the original campaign thread here: bedfordgladiators.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rpg&action=display&thread=905Look forward to meeting you Mike
