Hi everyone,
First I assume you still meet on mondays/sundays in Bedford? What is the cost to come each week? Do you have to pay for parking?
Secondly, what is the age range of active members? I myself am 21 and looking for opponents. Ideally I'd like to be a part of some tournament or regular game...
I'm just getting back into 8th edition warhammer fantasy with Lizardmen. I also play warhammer invasion the card game and I have the horus heresy board game which I don't mind bringing along if anyone wanted to play that with me. For now though I am looking to get some games of fantasy back in. I usually would play at around 2500 - 3000 points before. My army is brand new so I need a week to assemble it and learn the rules, and quite a bit longer to paint it if that is necessary before I can play.

Thanks for the quick reply... Is that £2 to enter each week? Is it every monday, and one sunday a month? Do I just turn up one day or book myself in?
The only places I've ever really looked at finding games outside of my group of friends who no longer play / moved away was at GW stores, and I was always told to book a table not just turn up, but I had nobody to book one with so I never really played.
I'm not really interested in anything other than warhammer fantasy at this point but once I am familiar with that again I might look into other games. I've played warhammer fantasy since I was 9 but the last few years I've found it hard with work commitments, lack of opponents leading to lack of interest...
I've played many races over the years but mainly Dark Elves and Vampire Counts. Right now I am starting my Lizardmen again though as the theme is more in line with what I do for a living and I hope it will keep my interest up. I've also played 40k for about 6 or 7 years but I haven't played that in many years, I played mainly Tau. I might restart that if the players are there, again only after fantasy is back underway.

Hi,
It's £2 each time you turn up, we meet every Monday 7-11 & on the 2nd Sunday of the Month 12 - 11. No need to book in, although if you haven't arranged a game with somebody you'll probably have to join in with whatever is being played on the night.
There are a few people that play WH Fantasy at the club, so you should be able to find opponents!! Best bet is to come along on a Monday evening, say "Hi" & have a look round, if there isn't a wargames you fancy joining in there are always some pretty unique boardgames going on instead....
Look forward to seeing you,
Damon

Okay thanks, this works better for me than another local club as they meet on wednesdays when I am at work late. Dunstable Generals meet on a monday as well I went to that a few times with my vampire counts but there weren't many fantasy players or enough time for a big game. I will get my new army assembled and hopefully pop down in a few weeks...
Is there any dates you are not meeting? (eg bank holidays, jubilee...)
