Dear All
As an anniversary gift, my lovely wife got me the beginner set for the new Star Wars Roleplay game : Edge of Empire from Fantasy Flight.
Would anyone like to help me try this out say on all day sunday in Feb? (I assume it is the 10th Feb?)
Room for 4 players.
It looks like an interesting system - dice pool / skill based (no d20s in sight) with some twists I've not seen before including a nifty destiny system giving a bonus die to the light side (but this then opens up a later bonus for the dark side and so on back and forth).
There's also an interesting initiative system where slots are created from skill rolls but then players can decide which player takes each slot as it comes up in order (ie you don't have to take the slot you individually rolled).
The story looks fun - albeit slightly 'on rails'. Edge of Empire is strictly the scum and villainy side of Star Wars - no jedi (that will come in a later game I believe). Think bounty hunters, spies, arms dealers, droids, blasters, heists and smuggler ships etc.
In this case, all the player characters have got on the wrong side of the local Hutt and are trying to find a way off the planet...
Let me know if you're interested. All welcome regardless of previous RPG experience

I would love to mate, but not sure I can make that date as both Agnes and I are juggling our rota's around due to my new position as TA at the hospital. Maybe is the best I can do...

Apologies all
I've just realised that I myself am not free on the 10th feb!
Happy to run this at a different time though if there's enough interest?

I'm definitely interested. Couldn't do the 10th, and am struggling for free weekends atm, but if it's planned for a time I can make then I'd like to get in on the action.
