I've given this some thought, and even though it might be a bit early to announce this, better early than late Gentlemen.
It looks like we're going to be 6 contestants at the moment, so I thought we could work it out this way:
- The Chapter will be played on two tables, one with 4 squares and one with 2 squares, if more players, simply two 4 squares tables.
- The big table will be for 3-4 players and the small for 2 in normal fashion.
- The 4 contestants with most previous wins will be seated at the big table, in case of a draw, roll a die, highest goes to the table.
- After the sorting, the contestants set up the OTHER table, ie. the 4 at the big table set up the small, and the 2 from the small set up the big one.
- The Setup works a bit different for the big table, at the start of the scenario, everyone rolls a die. The highest roll decides at which end they want to start, and then deploy in a falling order. The troops may be deployed within 6" each direction from the middle line of the boards on each side, and up to 6" in. The exception will be the one with most total wins, in case of a tie all get the benefit of deploying up to 9" in, signifying better information.
- The Drop for the big table at the start of the game, after setting up has everyone rolling a die, the highest gets The Drop. The Drop then moves clockwise around the table. This is to make it more fair to everyone.
Because LOTOW is a skirmish game for two players, I don't know how it actually will pan out with more participants. Hopefully it'll be quite interesting in the least...
The small table plays according to the normal rules.
If anyone has got any better ideas, you're welcome.
Still waiting for the other half of my shipment, but managed to paint my Tombstone 4 minis yesterday. ;D
Just so you know what's coming gents:
"Some people called them Heroes, some people called them Villains. But wherever they went, people whispered their names with Fear. For they are Hex's Harrowers".
Lock and load gentlemen.
The Swede.
