Hello All
If there's enough interest, I'm planning on running another Pathfinder Society game on this coming all day Sunday at 1pm
I currently have 3 players (Di, Mike and Maurice). I'd need 4 players to make this work. Is there a 4th player out there who'd like to give this a go? No experience necessary
The plot:
The society is sending a group of pathfinders into an extra dimensional pocket within an ancient tapestry, an artefact they have just obtained at great effort. The mission is to investigate the remains of a temple of Korada (neutral good god of foresight, harmony and peace) something the society has only had limited access to in the past. The group must simply bring back information about a variety of aspects of temple life gleaned from what remains there.
To quote Mike from previous games:
"What could possibly go wrong?"
;D

So, an ancient artifact containing an extra-dimensional space that nobody knows anything about
Nothing to worry about here No, nothing at all All perfectly safe
Yeah, right

With no 4th player I'm going to postpone the game now to give Mike and Maurice time to arrange something else for Sunday. Happy to run this another time though. Because of the interesting plot nature of the scenario it does rather need 4 to avoid multiple character death!

While it's a shame that you're missing out on a gaming opportunity, that's good news for me as the scenario sounds very interesting and if you are going to run it next month instead I'd be interested in taking part.

Sorry to hear this is off Chris, I was kinda looking forward to a little bit of extra-dimensional silliness
As an alternative I could put on introductory RuneQuest if you're interested in giving it a go
I maybe Gringle's Pawnshop (protect a trader from a bunch of angry baboons who want their magic item back)
This is quite a combat-heavy scenario, but the PCs are in an easily defensive position and the opponents are somewhat less than impressive so (as long as the characters are reasonably skilled) this should be do-able with two or three players
In order to save time and confusion (and so you have a chance of getting through the fight with your skins at least partially intact) I shall build some pre-defined characters
This would involve a little preparatory work on my part (the scenario is written but I shall need to create the characters) at fairly short notice I would appreciate knowing if you're interested as soon as possible
Please reply to this thread if you are, ideally with a some idea of the kind of character you would like to play
For information: RQ is a skill-based system. There are no character classes as you are used to in D&D/Pathfinder.
This means you can, in theory, build almost any character concept you want, but it does take a little thought and some familiarity with the system at character generation time (which is why I am offering pre-generate some characters for you)
I can go ahead without your input if you're prepared to accept whatever I come up with, but if you have any preferences (do you want to throw lots of magic about?, hit with with big swords?, or just kick people in the unmentionables?) feel free to mention it in your post and I will build something to suit
{{ BTW Chris: Can you bring along your monkey head tiles (from last month's game)? Your gaming mats would also be useful if you could manage it. Thanks }}
Mike

D'oh! Sorry mike, I've just committed myself elsewhere on sunday afternoon. Scenario sounds great though. Could we do this on a Monday night if there's enough interest? I ought to give rq another try. Happy to choose from any pregen characters on the day for this sort of thing Thanks Chris

Just a quick note to say that I won't be able to run this on 8th September either I'm afraid.
Hopefully next time!

Nevermind, the scenario isn't going anywhere. Hopefully October then.
