Hi
As per the request at the AGM I have looked setting up a meetup group unfortunately the only option is a paid one it will cost around $145 per year around £85 quid.
We would have to recruit at least 5 or 6 members a year (who attended fairly regularly) via this route to make this cost in - I think the cost is to much for the small added benefit.
What does anyone else think.

Well i think thats good progress Maurice. I think it is worth a punt. Does anyone know of other examples we might examine first to get an idea of possible benefits / costs etc? Woud be interesting to look at this first before taking a punt. I dont think its that much of a cost myself.

MM you'd need to calculate how long the average new member stays for and how many meetings a year they attend to work that out might be a bit tricky - ill see what the rest of the committee think abotu doing a 6 month trial

Here's a link to the Bedford all sort gaming meetup group that some of us go to on a Wednesday (not that I've been for a while mind you!). It seems to get quite a lot of traffic and the impression I have is that most people find it through meetup: www.meetup.com/Bedford-all-sort-gaming/?set_mobile=off
