Its Summer 1944 and we return to theRussian Front. Can the German forces, greatly stretched by the hammer blows of Operation Bagration hold the line?
We shall see on Monday evening!

Oh calamity!
Peter and I were Soviet. Our forces charged down two roads towards the bridge defended by Mike. His well positioned Elephant guns smashed 9 - yes Nine T34/85s. We only managed to kill one Elephant!
Disaster!

To be entirely fair Peter and Steve did have quite a lot of bad luck
On the left flank I killed three of Peter's T34s with a single salvo from my elephant guns (3 shots, 3 kills, 2 set alight) That pretty much blocked Peter's advance, with the result that he was never able get all his tanks firing at once
One the other flank a well placed shot from my field gun destroyed one of Steven's T34s at probably the most inconvenient place possible - right in the mouth of the ruined factory (well I did intend that, but there was no guarantee it would come off as planned) Add in a smoke screen (courtesy of my mortar team) and that prevented Steve even trying anything unpleasant until he'd gone around the outside
After that it just a matter of sitting tight and taking pot-shots at anything brave (or stupid) enough to move into my line of fire
All a bit too easy really, but good fun nonetheless -- thanks for the game gents
